Going green is becoming more and more popular, which is opening the door for the creation of more and more companies. I know, when I decided to switch to natural products I was completely overwhelmed with the selection of products available. This led me to the pursuit of finding green products and clearing my shelves of all those nasty and harmful products. An excellent step to take when moving to all-natural skin products is by looking up what you currently use on EWG or with the Think Dirty app. Both sites show all the different ingredients, their toxicity level, and an overall rating.

This list is all the green face products I love along with their EWG score. Each product has a hyperlink to its Amazon page.

Something to note is that this momma is not made of money. Part of my hunt was for affordability. With that in mind, you will not find reviews for $50 face cream on this post or my site.

Face wash

After trying several different brands of face wash, I have finally settled on Acure brightening facial scrub. Aside from scoring a 1 on EWG it also has a great smell and the grit I need to exfoliate. Acure has several different types of facewashes with different ingredients to target whatever issues you may have. I find myself wanting to buy all of their facewash products to use in different circumstances.

The Brightening Facial Scrub is my go-to most days. I have something called milia which is mainly clogged pores that cause white bumps. I need the grit to get into my pores and clean them out and minimize the milia.

The Radically Rejuvenating Facial Scrub is a fantastic wash. It leaves my face feeling so clean and refreshed. I have found that my face actually craves this cleanser. This is an excellent cleanser for mature skin because of the rose oil and red clay.

The Incredibly Clear Cleansing Stick is my favorite cleanser to use in the morning. The peppermint and cactus wake up my tired mom eyes and help eliminate the puffiness. I love, love, love this one and buy it in bulk.

Face lotion

Again, I am pretty much obsessed with the Acure line. My issue with their face lotion is the small package and large price tag. After doing my research on different lotions, this is pretty much the norm. When it comes to lotion, I have normal to dry skin, so I tend to pick the lotions that give me the most moisture. I haven’t used it, but they have a lotion for people with more greasy skin. If you have that issue, I would definitely try out the Incredibly Clear Mattifying Moisturizer

The Brightening Day Cream and the Brightening Night Cream are amazing. They don’t leave any residue and are very lightweight. The night cream has the most amazing earthy smell too.

Face oil and SPF

These 2 items have led me into a deep search. I knew I needed some face oil to help reverse my new wrinkles and the SPF to limit more wrinkles from appearing!

W3LL People is one of my favorite brands, and this face oil is something I would apply all day if I could. It is a bit pricey, so I try and limit my use to my morning (1 drop) and evening (2 drops) face washing. The Natural Bio Booster Facial Serum is incredible. The botanical serum has all the ingredients needed to “repair, rejuvenate, calm, hydrate & protect” the skin. After about a week of using it, I absolutely noticed a difference. My fine lines started to dissipate, and my skin tone evened out from my pregnancy melasma. AMAZING! Another point to add is this product is EWG verified safe, which is a rating reserved for the best of the best.

The facial SPF that I liked was incredibly challenging to find. I personally do not like the smell of sunscreen and wanted non-greasy that held up well under makeup. Finally, after what felt like a never-ending search, I found a youtube SPF review video. This lady tried a different sunscreen every day to see how it looked, felt, and held up under her makeup. The winner is Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen. This sunscreen is tinted, water-resistant, SPF 50, UVA/UVB protection, antioxidant-rich, and mineral-based. The tint acts as a bit of a primer, and the antioxidants are recommended for mature skin. The best thing about this sunscreen is the price and size. It is only $9 and is 3oz! If you have done any research on any of the other facial sunscreens, you know that you can spend upwards of $50-$100+ for a measly 1.5oz. To use daily that would mean purchasing twice a month minimum. As I’ve said, momma is not made of money! The downside to this sunscreen is it can leave your face feeling a little dry. When this happens, I just use a drop of my W3ll People facial oil. I would also like to add that this face sunscreen is reef-friendly, oxybenzone free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, PABA free, petroleum-free, SLS free, dye-free, and oil-free.

Each hyperlink directs you to Amazon with my affiliate link. I feel that I should mention I get most of this stuff from Pharmaca. Every once in a while, they have sales and coupons that significantly discount everything, and I load up! I am all about getting paid, but I want all my mommas out there getting the best deal possible! Hopefully someday Pharmaca will give me affiliate codes, and we can all save money!

I hope you love the products on this list as much as I do! This list is the end result of months and months of searching, trying, returning, and finally finding my facial routine. Enjoy!
